Melanie Phelan

Board Member

Melanie Phelan is an entrepreneur, business leader, and community advocate with a diverse background spanning construction management, hospitality, and nonprofit leadership. She is the owner of Phrame Construction Management and President of Evergreen Enterprises, where she supports innovative projects and business ventures across the Omaha region. Previously, she co-founded Site-1 Brewing and The Experience Company, building enterprises that combined creativity, operational excellence, and community engagement.

Alongside her entrepreneurial career, Phelan has invested deeply in nonprofit and civic leadership. She serves as Chairperson of the Board for inCOMMON Community Development, an organization dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty through neighborhood-based initiatives. She also volunteers with RISE, teaching and mentoring program cohorts as they pursue new opportunities after incarceration. Her work reflects a consistent commitment to building stronger communities and empowering individuals to reach their potential.

Phelan earned her Bachelor of Science in Event Management from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. With expertise in leadership, organizational development, and social impact, she brings both entrepreneurial insight and a heart for service to the Mission University Board of Directors.
