Mission University is a 501c3, global humanitarian services nonprofit organization, working to fulfill a mission to offer global healthcare education opportunities while supporting underserved communities. Dr. James Hauschildt is a dedicated nurse with over 30 years of healthcare and higher education experience, has traveled globally and spoken on the topic of experiential, adult learning, and founded Mission University in 2019 to bridge the gap between academic learning and humanitarian action.

Whether you’re a student seeking college credit or a professional expanding your expertise, you’ll gain real-world experience and hands-on skills. We provide a variety of online research programs and field-based learning experiences for students studying any undergraduate or graduate major, including a wide-range of working professionals with a focus on critical assessment, evaluation, and advocacy of needs on the personal, client, community, and global levels.

A field-based, public health clinical practicum course includes a supervised, hands-on learning experience where students in a healthcare or social service field apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, like a clinic, hospital, community agency, or school, under the guidance of a professional practitioner to develop practical skills and gain experience in their chosen field. Additionally, students often seek clarification on the roles and responsibilities they will undertake during the practicum and how this experience will contribute to their overall academic and career goals.
